Terms & Conditions

1. Information Collection
MedConnect acts primarily as a Business Associate under HIPAA guidelines. The information we process depends on your relationship with our platform—whether you are a clinician, an administrator, or an integrated hospital system.
Protected Health Information (PHI): We process patient data transmitted through our infrastructure exclusively as directed by Covered Entities.
Authentication Telemetry: Log data, IP addresses, and behavioral biometrics used strictly for securing clinician access points.
Administrative Data: Credentials and institutional contact information required for platform governance.
2. Data Usage & Processing
Data processing operations are strictly confined to the execution of services defined in the Business Associate Agreement (BAA). MedConnect does not—and will never—monetize, sell, or rent PHI to third parties. We utilize aggregated, strictly de-identified telemetry data solely for anomalous threat detection and system load balancing.
3. User & Patient Rights
While MedConnect is the processor, we facilitate the Covered Entity's ability to respond to patient requests regarding their data. Administrative users have the right to request audit logs of their own access patterns, revoke API tokens, and initiate data portability workflows through the platform dashboard.
4. Professional Conduct
Users must maintain a high standard of professional conduct. The Platform is designed for professional networking, clinical knowledge sharing, and healthcare analytics.
- You may not post or transmit any Protected Health Information (PHI) in violation of HIPAA or applicable data privacy laws.
- You agree not to use the Platform for transmitting spam, promotional materials, or unauthorized commercial communications.
- You must respect the intellectual property rights of others and ensure that any clinical insights or materials shared do not violate confidentiality agreements.
5. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall MedConnect, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
(i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Platform; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Platform; (iii) any content obtained from the Platform; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content.
6. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.
